I was at Rite Aid 2 weeks ago, on the hunt for toilet paper. I walked by the clearance section, and saw a set of Yes to Carrots on Sale:
The starter's kit consists of: Cleanser, Moisturizer, Eye Cream, Head Band
I believe it retails for $20, but I got it on clearance for $10. Either way, a steal.
I've had some really horrible, rough dry skin in the last two months. I would moisturize 2x a day, and still flake and peel. Downright gross. I've been looking for a thicker moisturizer cream that would really help lock in the moisture in my skin. I've tried a couple of moisturizers, but haven't decided to really make a commitment to any one either due to price or value. When I saw this set on sale, I jumped on it!
Cleanser: Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser
- The beads are super fine, but they are not rough on the skin. There's an obvious exfoliating and cleansing effect. It works well to take off eyeliner, which was unexpected. It leaves your skin feeling clean, without feeling stripped of protective oils. Do follow the directions and massage the cleanser into your face for a good 30 seconds to get full benefits.
Moisturizer: C through the Night Moisturizing Cream
- I believe this cream was intended for night use, but I use it day and night, and have seen wonderful results. The cream is pretty thick, and feels like a very soft, silky veil has been applied over your skin, leaving your skin extremely smooth and soft, ALMOST a bit like a smooth candle. It's strange, haha, but I love it. There's no particular smell to speak of. The only downside right now that I feel is the crappy packaging of the plastic jar--- there's so much wasted space, and wasted materials. There's already a lot of product, what's the point of dressing it up, making it look even bigger?
Eye Cream: I haven't used this, so I can't speak for it. I have another AVON eye cream I'm found of right now :) >> I WILL BE GIVING THIS AWAY in this post! Keep reading for details :)
Overall Rating: 9.5/10
A definite keeper and repurchase. At this price, the quality of these products is a bargain. I was extremely impressed by the quality of these relatively lower-end-priced products. Highly recommend the set to anyone with dry skin. Yes To Inc. has a bunch of other lines geared towards other skin types, as well. Has anyone else used any products from the Yes To line? What are your thoughts?
I've been using this consistently every day for about two weeks, and my skin hasn't been this good since last Spring. I haven't worn any kind of makeup on my face this whole time, because I'm loving how my skin looks and feels without anything on it-- a first in a looooooooooooooong time.
You can buy products of the Yes To line from Target, Rite Aid, and online.
Okay, so regarding the giveaway.. I'm giving away the tub of Eye Cream I received in my set. I will announce the winner in my next post (whenever that may be.... probably by the end of this week, hehe). You'll have them to tell me in the comments section of this post about your skin type, skincare routine, and products used. Open to residents world wide. Have fun, and good luck!
love,
Lisa

I'm going to be using this SO MUCH. It's already been put to use a couple times, making cookies! It's such a breeze-- and SO QUIET and powerful. This is a HEAVY piece of equipment! There are NO vibrations whatsoever on the counter from the motor because it's so well made and everything is contained. LOVE.
The awesome Steph sent awesomeness my way, including... MOMOFOKU!

I've seen this book around quite a few times, but never though about buying it for myself. I've been reading it, and have been sucked up into the world of ramen and other delicious food. THANK YOU, Steph! She also included an awesome Cool Jewelry Ice Cube Tray which I will start using the second it's not freezing... or even when it's still cold because I'm addicted to iced coffees and milk teas :X. She also included FRICKEN DELICIOUS COOKIES. BTW Steph, I've been making the cranberry everything cookies and have been eating way too many of them-- everyone LOVES them! Thanks for introducing me to these wonderful yummies!
The beautiful & talented Crystal sent me some organic awesomeness for the holidays as well, including:

Josie Maran Makeup Wipes :)
And the AWESOME John Masters Orange & Ginseng exfoliating body bar which I just CAN NOT get enough of.
Crystal was the first to introduce me to John Masters organic products. Although they are a bit on the pricey side, I would not mind spending a few extra bucks to get the quality of their products as soon as I have a stable job.
I spoiled myself and bought for myself..

WOO HOO! My first time there since I was like... 10 or something like that, haha. This time, I won't get scolded for sitting on a bar stool :)

PR: Dolly Wink Liquid & Argan Bear Naked Wipes
It's been a while since I've done a Product Review-- but I've been introduced to 2 products that I really like, so I wanted to share it with you all :)
... Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner!
Description from Company: Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner has a ultra fine yet flexible point tip, which allow greater precision with a easy to handle eyelining experience. The deep dazzling black can accentuate the glamorous eyes of yours, giving you a more defined look. This eyeliner is waterproof, sweat proof and with the quick dry formula, the eyeliner can stay on for hours without a smudge. Your look will be long wearing and gorgeous even without touch-up.
My thoughts: My main issue with liquid liners up to this point was how it always goes on deep and dark, yet flakes super easy. I love this formula, it goes on, and stays on. To a degree, it acts like a gel liner in that I can fix it, and wing it out slightly at the outter edge of my eye using a Q-tip-- none of the other liquid liners I've used have this ability to "smudge". The tip is excellent-- my favorite, BY FAR, in ANY liquid liner. It also doesn't go on "shiny" like many liquid liners. I also wanted to comment a bit about the packaging: YES, it's cute, but it's completely not necessary. It could be just the pencil in a smaller box, and be just as adorable without all the access material (waste). I'm not sure if the plastic is recyle-able.
Overall Rating: 9/10, a definite re-purchase, but in general, my preference is still either gel liner or pencil-- it's just a slightly softer look, you know?
Other Info: You can buy this at SaSa.com for about $12-- a worthy investment! I just don't know how long it'll last if you use it everyday, but I'm still guessing it's worth it =)
I received this as a gift from Rina.

And... Josie Maran Baare Naked Makeup Removal Wipes
(Image credits to Josie Maran website)
Description from Company: Erase your face, not the polar bear race!
Wipe off makeup and dirt nature's way, with a blend of natural and healthy ingredients including aloe vera, cucumber, and vitamin E. Free of fragrance, parabens, and petrochemicals, these luxuriously soft wipes are kind to tender eyes and skin and are biodegradable. Leave your skin feeling nourished and refreshed! 30 wipe count. In support of the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Polar Bear SOS initiative, a portion of every package sold will go to protect these endangered animals. For ingredient listings, please click here. To learn more or get involved, please visitwww.polarbearsos.orgMy thoughts: I've used the makeup wipes from Diaos, they're about $3 for a pack of... I forgot, (don't have it with me).. around 40 sheets. Daiso makeup wipes work AMAZING but they're thin. These Bare Naked wipes are thick, extremely soft, and removes makeup very well. Leaves your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and supple. There's nothing I don't like about the actual product. The wipes are pretty big, so I would actually reduce the size of them if I had the choice. Less waste!
Overall Rating: 9/10
Other Info: This costs $12/pack of 30. The ONLY reason why I took off 1 point on the rating was for the price-- it is NOT the most budget friendly makeup remover, as much as I love it. I can see myself using this more if I had a stable job. You can purchase this at Sephora or off the Josie Maran website.
I received this wipes as a gift from Crystal.
Have you personally used any of these two products? If so, what are YOUR thoughts on them?
I'm off, hope you enjoyed the short post and PRs. I'm off to spend some time with family!
Enjoy your Christmas, and I'll be announcing the giveaway winner tomorrow!
love,
Lisa
