** I am waiting for some materials to come in. Due to the huge influx of orders I received 1-2 weeks ago, I have run out of a lot of items. If you're wondering about the status of your order, please don't hesitate to give me an email (heqicrystaldesigns@hotmail.com).
I will be announcing the GIVEAWAY winner soon! I need some time to go through all the entries =)
I made some new earrings these passed two days...
New Eye Shadows!
Promotion applicable on orders placed between 8.12.2010 - 8.14.2010
Get a FREE Mineral Eye Shadow (loose pigment) of your choice with all orders over $80 USD!
Include your choice of eyeshadow in the comments section during checkout =)
When I'm not working on fulfilling orders, I take a break by making these eye shadows =)
This is a BETA version of the official Pressed Shadow to be released in few weeks. These are perfected pigment formulas, but the texture may not be 100% perfect-- resulting in a dramatic decrease in price. The difference in texture does not effect the application of the eye shadows.
EDIT
Q: Why is the surface uneven?
It has to do with my pressing ability. These are pressed palettes-- you literally mash all the pigment together using a binding factor, which is a various combination of chemicals, and then press them down with a tile. Because I'm using my hands and not a machine, I can't press as accurately/evenly as a machine, causing an imperfect surface. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to improve on this, but I'll try!
With the exception of how they LOOK and feel IN the palette, I'm VERY proud of these. They're SO pigmented. I really loaded up on the minerals on these. I think these will EASILY rival MAC's pressed shadows. I have one of MAC's shimmer black pressed shadows, and it's not very pigmented compared to these. They GLIDE on, but they're so ugly looking -_-. I want to create a SMOOTH pressed surface. However, this doesn't take away from how it looks worn.
They are currently $5.50 each shipped. They will be going up to about $8 shipped each when I perfect the look of them =)
^ Midnight Sky is my FAV.

And since I'm a the bf's house, I haven't been working, so there's no new stuff to show. However, I think it's fun every once in a while to look back on really early work from years back just to remind us all He Qi has changed.
I used to make a lot of these cross-stitched charms for sale. I stopped making them because they were very time consuming and hard on my hands :(
I'm thinking of offering these again... but it's one of those things I'm not sure about :X
I also did a lot of paper roses with chocolate kisses inside... this is one of my fav. bouquets I've customized:
This was my first really "busy" phone charm:
My first beaded item:
I also used to do double-pierced earrings:
I may consider doing double pierced earrings again-- anyone interested? Leave me a comment if you are, with specific shapes/colors you'd like to see =)
Double pierced sets were very popular on Soompi forums a couple years back-- I'm not sure if they are right now since I haven't been on there in forever. So were cuff earrings sets:
Upcoming in the next week or so:
PRESSED Eyeshadows, Blushes, Powders!! =) I'm super excited. The compacts I got are SO CUTE.
If you haven't seen this yet, I'd love for you to check out the official He Qi Facebook Page HERE.
Once I reach 100 "likes", I'll be holding a giveaway on there!
Also, don't forget, there's still time to join the current giveaway, details are on the sidebar!
I hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
Labels for some of the eyeshadows are DONEEEEEEE! Which means the official colors are going on sale TODAY.
They're going for $6.25 each, that includes free shipping to anywhere in the world. I hope this is a reasonable price for everyone. =) Keep in mind shipping itself is around $2 for one shadow.
I will be offering pressed shadows very soon! I need to learn a bit more...
And introducing the SUPER NOVA Chandelier Earrings!
Bows in gold:
And finally, a more unique pair of flowers. I making the flower 3 colors would be pretty cool. I like how it's turned out.
A big thank you to everyone who's been so patient during the last week while I worked on orders-- you have no idea how much your patience is appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH,
I'll be in the Bay Area this weekend, visiting the bf. I'll see you all later! Don't forget to join the giveaway, there's still some time left. Details are on the side bar =)

I've been on the lookout for the perfect blush forever. I bought the bare minerals set, and they had the "warmth" which made me look oddly copper and unnatural. I have pretty white skin, and the tone is actually a little pink, less yellow, so I wanted something more pink/red. Then I bought the VS blush, which made me look like a doll because it was too pink-- still unnatural!!
Say hello to ADRENALINE
This blend was inspired by the colors our cheeks get in the cold, or after exercise or... after certain exertions..
Here's a sort of bad swatch of it. Keep in mind I use a point and shoot, and it pretty much sucks at capturing true color.
Anddd... the cute packaging I've put together for ALL the beauty items. Ready for gift giving!
Anyway, I need to get back to studying, so I'll just quickly post photos and leave you for now =)
I think this necklace is going to be a hit!
I had some extra 7 inches mini heart chain left over from the spool, so this is what I came up with. Simple, clean, not very creative-- did the best I can given the random leftover material. Definitely not one of my creative designs -_-
And and ollllllllddddd pice I found laying around:
** I've been getting TONSSSSSSS of emails regarding items that you've seen and wanted to buy, but are no longer on the website. While I sometimes agree to remake them, I WILL NOT most of the time. I choose to run my business this way because it makes your pieces more special. So if you see something you like, my advice is to get it QUICK, because I most likely won't be duplicating it.
love,

I took in all of your feedback from the previous post (which is always amazingly helpful, THANK YOU!), and created a couple of pieces with what material I had on hand. I'm officially completely out of the ballend head pins you see on each crystal, so.... no more of these till I get more of the pins. I think the round balls add a crucial extra something to the piece, so I don't want to make any without them :X
So... some new cluster cascades:
I've been working on sugar scrubs to add to my beauty line-- the first one is the REFRESH lemon scented sugar scrub =)
Here are photos of the samples I've put together to include with ALL orders until I run out =)
And a big jar:
These scrubs are made with refined sugar, olive oil, lemon essential oil (all natural), vitamin E oil.
They work as exfoliants, gently, buffing away dead skin cells to reveal a new, healthier layer. The oils help the skin retain moisture. I noticed a difference in skin texture and moisture level on the first use. Use no more than 3 times a week to allow skin to build new layers.
See the item HERE.
Want a Free Sample?! The first 6 people who comment on this post with "I WANT LEMON SCRUB!" will receive 1 free sugar scrub sample! Only open to US residents this time, sorry! The reason is because I want to be able to ship these with just 1 stamp instead of paying $1.50 for postage for just 1 measly sample :X. Please include your first name and email address in your comment.
No more, sorry! If you make a purchase from the website, I'll include it with your order =)
I've randomly chosen a winner from the last post to receive a pair of earring, some oil blotters, and a sample of my new sugar scrub!
Congrats to: AnNeTtEe !
Please email me at: heqicrystaldesigns@hotmail.com to redeem your prize!
For a chance to win this package: Comment below with your favorite SCENTS, and whether or not you're interested in purchasing sugar scrubs. Thanks! Winner will be announced in next post =)
A little random, but I also added a nail buffer to my shop. I love the design, super cute and portable. It's a plus that it works well ;)
see you later,
Lisa

I've been MIA for the passed two weeks-- I had finals, and then the boyfriend's graduation/celebration. Needless to say, I haven't had much time to update my site or the blog. THANK YOU for your continued support!
Here's a quick shot of us afterwards:
It was windy.
And that night, one of our friends made..
Um... that would be a heart attack log. Made with a bacon weave on the outside, sausage on the middle, and more bacon in the center. :X
And I made matcha macaron pops:
And marshmallows:
For my graduating friends =)
And the beautiful gal from manwomanfilm did a HQCD review! You can check out the video here:
I've been busy busy, trying to put together my new BEAUTY line. I'm starting off with CLAY FACIALS (which I know many of you have been excited to hear about :D) I'm always trying new things =), trying to keep HQCD different.
There are sooooooooo many different kinds of clays out there. Each clay has different properties, and all clays help promote skin health because they are loaded with skin-loving minerals. I created my own blends from various clays from around the world to make facials for you all. These are the exact same facials that are used in top of the line spas. You can also purchase clay masks online, but they often be very expensive, and contain tons of "fillers" (things that take up room to stand in for clay, but are not really clay). Generally, a good jar of clay of the same size as I'm selling runs for about $20-$60.
Here's my first jar, ready for shipment =)
For OILY skin.
I'm working out recipes for the following types of masks:
Dry Skin, Acne Prone Skin, Combo Skin, Sensitive
During the facial.. Yep, I only did a part of my face.
And when it's just about done and ready to wash off (notice how it's all dried out?)
What is looks like:
And packaging:
Comes with its own spatula, for your easy spreading pleasure :D
All jars comes with shrink wrap seals to let you know that they're brand new =)
Each jar is 6oz by weight. It's good for 10-13 uses.
I only use the BEST cosmetic grade clays available on the market, INCLUDING DEAD SEA CLAY-- yes, that insanely expensive stuff from the bottom of the Dead Sea. GENUINE clays are good for the skin, and people rarely have allergic reactions. I also add green tea extract to everything to increase the antioxidants you're getting. I don't use any additives, preservatives or fillers in my blends. You're getting 100% clay, 100% potent skincare products.
Currently, everything is unscented. But in the future, I plan to add essential oils to the blends. Essential oils are different from fragrant oils in that they're actual EXTRACTS from the item. For instance, grapefruit essential oil is actually the oil from the fruit. Grapefruit fragrance oil is synthetic (man made). Fragrance oils don't have the natural healing properties of essential oils. More about that later.
I will soon be making a full line for all skin types, including ones for keeping skin youthful, and slimming face (tightening of loose skin and pores). I'm excited! Are you all with me for this journey?
