Restock of MOP Dove Earrings! Plus new creations

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are having an awesome Sunday in the US.

First off..
After over a year of being out of stock, our Mother of Pearl Dove Earrings are FINALLY back! There are 3 pairs left before they are out of stock again.

I've had a lot of trouble securing these particular dove beads.  A local  bead shop had stocked them, but hadn't for a quite a while.  I had tried buying from online sources but the quality was really never up to par and those beads got tossed.

My overall obsession as of late has turned to wire wrapped rings. For the longest time I couldn't get a hang of getting them perfectly round, the wires in the right positions.  Lots of practice and wire later, I've grown to really love making rings.  Making each one has been therapeutic, and knowing that you all can custom your size makes me feel more connected to each of you.  Sounds a little lame but very true :)

The little knot ring is a surprisingly cute ring-- super versatile and really, can be worn every day.

Our new little gold heart ring is... simply adorable.

I'm falling in love with minimalist jewelry.
Sometimes, the smallest pieces may have a surprisingly large impact.

Also found cute little shooting star motifs and turned them into a one of a kind pair of earrings:

Giveaway Winner & Life Updates! (with new handmades thrown in)

How was everyone's Christmas? What goodies did you give and receive?

I had an amazing time with my and the bf's family. We had dinner on Christmas Eve all under one roof, and it was AWWWWWWWWWWWEsome. We had tons of good food and laughs together... all in all, it has made me wish that we had more downtime in the year. We need more Holidays!!!

I have also moved again! The bf and I rented a house along with our ex college roomies, and since we are all working in the same area, we decided that it'd be nice to pool our resources and finally get a nice home to stay in. I will post house photos later-- we also have 3 kitties now which are loving the extra play room. And finally, I have an amazing kitchen to work in. I will be creating more delectable goodies for devouring.. I am excited. Once we all settle in, all will be well :)

These last two weeks have been tiring for me-- aside from moving, I have been clocking long hours at work. However, that hectic period is behind me (I think...) so I will be able to dedicate more time to blogging....

I made some Brass/Copper earrings today:


The leaves and flowers are painted with nail polish-- the colors are VERY subtle, but provides something very unique :)


They also come with NIOBIUM hooks-- niobium is many times more expensive than gold/silver. It is an inert metal that is hypoallergenic-- safe for even the most sensitive (mine included!). I made the decision to include niobium in collection to broaden the color range I can work with (brass!!!)

Also made some baroque clusters:


As I have a real job now, I can splurge more on gemstone earrings... so I am in the middle of purchasing a bunch of gemstones. These Rose Quartz are beautiful, and very, very clear with lots of facets for more shine:


The following two earrings contain beads purchased (by me!) from the Forbidden City in Beijing, China when I visited a few years back.



I finally decided that it was time to part with them now :)


I have a 3-day work week this week, whoohoo!
Then, a 4 day weekend, WHOOHOO!

More time to spend with loved ones, to cook to eat, to work out, to sleep.

Otherwise, I have made new earrings :) One of them is my new banner, and the other a black baroque earrings you'll see when you visit the site :)

Tomorrow some coworkers & I are going river rafting (not whitewater rafting)

New Earrings & Charms + Update!

Hello everyone! I know I haven't updated much, sorry about that. This holdiay season, I've really been trying to wind down, relax, and spend some time with family and loved ones-- I hope you've all had the opportunity to spend the Holidays the way you wanted!

I made some new charms:









and some new earrings-- I love these.
I strung a bunch of cube shaped metal thingies onto round rings and made a "chain"... kinda... except with cubes all over them. Tedious, yes. But well worth the time. It took 2 hours to put together these two pairs.



Just one of each pair available!
I'll be visiting Vegas from Jan 7 - 9, and I'll be customizing a pair of the cube earrings for myself :D... depending on what I decide to wear :)

What are your plans for the New Year? I plan to stay hangout with Brian, probably watch some Naruto, play some bass/guitar/ and Rockband on the PS3.

Also, I'll be holding my 600 follower giveaway very soon, as soon as I get all the goodies together.

Macaron fail, new pieces, winner of mystery earrings =)

.... a couple of my girlfriends from class and I were talking about some things. We're all the same major and it's fricken' TOUGH. We've jokingly (or even half-seriously) decided that if we all fail at being engineers, we'll get together and open a bakery, haha.

And I love baking, so it'll work out perfectly.... :X

I tried to bake French Macarons (not macaroons...) today, lol. They're very hard to bake, but I wanted to try, anyway.

So... I sort of failed at creating the "feet" that all macarons have... and failed at keeping the crust from cracking, BUT overall, they were still delicious despite being ugly. I'm definitely going to be trying again.

In other news... I'm taking 4 engineering classes this quarter. I'm planning to kick some class butt-- so I'll be around a little less. I got a new layout! One of the New Years' resolutions down! haha

I ordered some personalized packaging early December-- they took a while to get here, but they look PRO. They're laminated and everything. One downside is that they don't have earring holes, and these cards are hard to poke through. Hole punchers just don't quite do the trick...

Everyone should own a pair of lambie slippers.... and some new jewelry

My boyfriend's mom got me the BEST SLIPPERS EVER for Christmas. They're the Bath and Body Works Lambie Balllerina Slippers. They're CRAZY soft, and I have small feet (5.5-6), and the size small fits WELL. I'm NEVER gonna go back to other slippers, lol! In fact, I'm gonna buy about 3-4 more pairs of these... stock up while I can! They're also on sale, check out the link! I'm considering buyin $40 worth, and getting the $10 off...

Aside from being SUPER COMFY, they're SO CUTE! AH! Everyone should own a pair. I can't seem to stop raving about them to everyone.
