Tired, but .... here are the earrings you've been waiting for

I'm really tired :\
This week had been filled with lots of hw and studying, and on top of that, planning our Harry Potter theme party which will be Sat. night. Hopefully it goes well. I'm making golden snitch macarons... I really hope they turn out good so they'll be worth all the trouble :X

Anyway, I posted a sneak peak of some of these earrings on Twitter, and received very positive responses. Only ONE of each pair available!

Anyway, these babies got some love on twitter:

^ This one's my fav. out of the batch. Very detailed, so dainty, and its all sterling silver :)

And two simple pairs:

Sorry for the lack of excitement. I'm exhausted. I'm going to be catching up on order tmrw! I keep getting things out of stock, so you guys had to wait a bit longer to get your orders-- I'm so sorry :( Thank you all for your patience and love. Goonight!

New Earrings & Bracelets!

mannnn I am so bummed. I tried photographing this piece:

For 15 minutes!!! And could NOT somehow manage to capture the pink opal color.
SO BUMMED. I might try again on a sunnier day or something....
But it's an opaque, light pink. Very feminine. Fail at photography, sorry :(

And another emerald clover bracelet.
Someone on formspring keeps asking about it, and was unhappy that it wasn't shorter. Here's a similar one, though not exact. I hope you're reading, whoever you are! I made this one just for you =)

But it's about 7 inches.

Also, I fricken love you, Alyssa.

She sent me these beautiful coin (glass? jade? something else?) flower beads and I'm addicted.
She's an AMAZING earrings crafter-- her designs are unique, so so so so so cute and many of them I'm sure are one of a kind-- check her out!

Also thinking of making a series of simple pearl bracelets with just a charm or two dangling off.. Here's one w/ an Eiffel tower!

Simple, clean, classic.

Nothing else exciting going on really.... NOT YET...
I have a midterm tomorrow in my English Lit (Children's Lit) class- I need to read a couple of books tonight... darn procrastination!

The housemates & I have exciting Halloween plans-- I'm dying for the even to come quicker so I can take photos and share them with you all ahhhhhhh! I'll be making a couple of food items worth noting for future parties ;) stay tuned!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday! See you all soon <3

Takoyaki Party & Clover Bracelet! Halloweeeeeeeen!

Went to my first takoyaki party Saturday night!
We gathered at Brian's co-worker's place to make tonsssssss of takoyaki. According to wiki....
Takoyaki (たこ焼き or 蛸焼?) (literally fried or grilled octopus) is a popular Japanese dumpling made of batter, diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, ponzumayonnaise, green laver (aonori), andkatsuobushi (fish shavings), first popularized in Osaka where a street vendor named Endo Tomekichi is credited with its invention in 1935 [

Keith lived in Japan for a while, and he has a takoyaki pan! It's basically a coil-heated "pad" on the bottom, with a many-half-circles-mold pan stuck on it.

First, you oil the pan:

Pour the takoyaki batter into the pan:

Add whatever filling you'd like:

I'm the one in black, on the left of the photo with both my hands spreading green onions over the pan, lol

We used a variety of filling including: green onions, tako (octopus), sausage, shrimp yum yum yum

Then you wait...

For the batter to cook and solidify a little..

Before you start forming the balls! You take the sticks and basically swirl it around the circle shape and "flip" the balls over to cook on the other side:

The heat coil wasn't even on all sides, so we ended up with beautiful takoyakis and .... ugly ones on the corners, lol.

But overall, it was delicious and we really started to get the hang of it after the first batch!

I think I had at least 20 takoyakis that night. I'm not craving any more, but I do want to get a pan now, lol.
If you want to find out more about takoyaki, try youtubing! You can see pros on the streets of Japans flipping these like mad! It's very cool to watch :D

And here'a clover bracelet, the one I briefly mentioned last post =)

These are the last of my crown toggle clasps-- so if you want em, get em now, cause I probably won't be getting any more for quite a while.

I also made on in Crystal AB:

...... but I lost it somewhere......... I was wearing it out and I was putting layers of clothing on and off, it got lost in the madness.

IN OTHER NEWSSSSSSSSSSS
I GOT MY COSTUME! YAEAHAHAH! I'm in class so I can't take a photo, but I'll show you later =)

Oh yes, I did-- Sailor Moon Earrings & More Cosplay jewelry to come?

For those of you who've been following for a while, you'll know I grew up watching Sailor Moon, and I still watch it on Veoh sometimes when I'm crafting. It's one of those easy going animes that I somehow never manage to get sick of. I think I know every episode by heart at this point, but can still watch it again and again.

I've been trying to perfect the first Sailor Moon transformation earrings. I've seen lots of cosplay earrings, but most of them are hurriedly thrown together, poor quality. A lot of cosplay jewelry out there is meant to be worn only a couple of times, but I wanted to create pieces that last. Who says cosplay earrings can only be worn during cosplay? ;)

It took a couple weeks of research to finally come out with these babies:

^ It's kind of hard to capture the gold dust (see below on details of this stuff). It looks more yellow in this photos, but is actually more gold in real life.

They look like this when worn:

Pretty accurate to:

Not exact, but close. The whole point is you FEEL Usagi's presence reverberating from the piece.

This piece was commissioned by my friend Cassandra-- she's Sailor Moon for Halloween this year! With her permission, I will happily post photos of her here later ;)

I took poly-clay in yellow, and sculpted them to the shape of moons. This was surprisingly the hardest part!! I didn't use a mold (they don't really sell molds this size/shape... :\), so making the pair of earrings as exact as possible was... painful. After they were shaped, I coated them 18K gold dust to give them a "brushed" feel. They kind of look more like metal now than poly clay, which is great. I'm currently working out some things with someone who makes custom metal charms-- maybe I can get a custom moon made? I don't know.

Anyway, this brings up more ideas-- I really think I'm going to start a line of cosplay earrings. Since I'm FANG (FFXIII) for Halloween this wear, I wanted to make her earrings & bracelet-- woo hoo! I'll let you know how that goes, if it goes at all.

Anime-wise, I've also been watching BLEACH. I was SO SO SO tempted to dress up at Matsumoto, even though it's just a black over white kimino and pink "scarf". So simple, so beautiful. Oh well, maybe next year.

Any other anime lovers out there?
What are you for Halloween? WE SHOULD ALL SHARE PHOTOS. IF you guys email me or post links to your photos here after Halloween (OMG esp. if you can include a He Qi piece in there somewhere!) I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to create a photo compilation on FB just for you guys! Let me know what you think.

I also have two CLOVER/PEARL bracelets made and ready to be posted.. but I think I'll wait till tmrw :P

love,

4 brand new pcs, including WILD HEART pendant necklace!

Hi Everyone!

I've been studying a lot this passed week-- I had a midterm today! I'll be catching up on orders in the next few days-- THANK YOU everyone, for your patience! When your order ships, you should get a shipping confirmation email which includes your tracking/customs number.

Anyway, here are a some new pieces I've been working on-- some I've had around since Friday, but haven't had a chance to post till today.

I don't do pendant necklaces often, so please advantage of what I'm offering here:

It's a WILD HEART pendant necklace-- on a GOLD FILLED chain, which is why it's a bit pricey. It's NOT a cheap-o piece of jewelry! Keep that in mind when shopping please ;) Only ONE.

And A HELIOS STAR pair of earrings-- I believe one of YOUR inspired this piece! You suggested stars & the Helios pendant, so that's what I did. It IS a pricey piece of jewelry, but I think you'll like it, and find it worth it.

Definitely more showy. Did I mention these are ONE OF A KIND? I'll never make another pair like it in the future =)

And I really, REALLY like the next two pairs of earrings I'm going to post...

Here are some Romantic Pear Drops, made with these beautiful vintage cream rose beads--- ahhh! Beautiful. They come with SOLID 14K gold filled kidney wires-- I think these will probably last you the rest of your life if you take care of em well!

And Fuchsia Flowers & Briolette Drops Earrings:

I love the fancy-cut briolette. So many facets, so shiny! This is another one of those quality pieces that will last you a VERY long time.

That's it for now! I know I haven't been posting as much since school started :X
Remember to do your Holiday shopping early, for my sake AND yours since I want to make sure you get your items in on time.

Also, if you guys go to the FB fan page, and check out the giveaway, there's a 5% off $40 or more coupon code hidden somewhere (not really hidden if you read the caption :P) Visit HERE.
